Make an Even Greater Impact this Year!

In the photo above, DREAAMer Azae’den, a 3rd grader, is shown helping Chase (a Kindergartner DREAAMer) in the homework room at our Champaign elementary location, housed at UniPlace Church. This moment was incredibly sweet. While our staff member, Madison, was getting kids together to do homework, Azae’den came up and asked if he could come with to help the younger kids! And what a great help he was!

DREAAM...That's us --- a nonprofit organization that creates life-changing programs, positive relationships, and amazing experiences that benefit and empower our boys and young men for years to come. We plant seeds of hope for the future of our communities.

With DREAAM, there is hope for the future. DREAAM is one solution to preventing violence, ending school suspensions, and building child well-being in Champaign County. Be hopeful and encouraged for a healthy and healed future for our community.

Won't you please consider a gift to DREAAM as the year is begins? With YOUR HELP, we can continue to provide these life-changing, inspiring moments.

DREAAM---founded in 2015 and became 501c3 nonprofit in 2017---is an opportunity pipeline, a pipeline of hope for boys and young men here in Champaign County. We are a community impact organization with a mission to disrupt generational cycles of povery, incarceration, and trauma by providing healing-centered and educational programming that nurtures and empowers our youth.

Our hope is to create a "school to college” pipeline to disrupt the “school to prison” pipeline, because of the following stats:

◻75% of all suspensions in Champaign District 4 schools (2012-2015) and 65.8% of all suspensions in Urbana District 116 schools (2011-2015) were Black students.

◻77.7% of all expulsions in Champaign District 4 (2012-2015) and 85.7% of all expulsions in Urbana District 116 (2011-2015) were Black students.

◻In 2011, 85% of all students who experienced disciplinary action in Champaign District 4 schools involving the police were Black.

◻Only about 5% of students at University of Illinois (UIUC) are African American, a number that has steadily decreased over the last few years.

Will you help us continue to provide important and life-changing programming and mentorship for our DREAAMers, so together, we can put an end to crushing statistics like these? With your support, you can have this impact:
